Mildred M. Renehan Age 80, of Bushkill, passed away suddenly Thursday evening April 5, 2012, at her home in Bushkill PA. Born in South Bronx
N.Y., she was a daughter of the late James and Annie (Lowe) and was raised on East 156 Street, in South Bronx.
Following graduation from St. Peter and Paul's Elementary School, she earned a four year scholarship to the prestigious Immaculata High School in New York City. Upon completion of high school, Mildred received her bachelor's
degree from Hunter College, a master of arts and her pre-doctoral degree in administration from Long Island University.
In 1958, Mildred joined the staff of Roosevelt School (Lyndhurst Public School System) as a teacher. During the years of 1960 to 1983, she directed the Little Theatre Group, supervised the children's choir at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church,
Lyndhurst, N.J., instituted the Roosevelt Square Dancing Club, orchestrated Christmas musicals, spring Irish shows, operettas and "Up With People" productions.
In addition, Mildred presided as the director of the Lyndhurst Summer Day Camps. Ms. Renehan also instructed mathematics and English for a high school equivalency diploma at the Lyndhurst Adult School and served as president
of the Lyndhurst Teachers' Association and Instructional Council.
