PADDY MCKENNA  

 Patrick Phillip McKenna, a 46 year resident of Monroe, New York died on November 6, 2014 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, New York. He was 73 years of age.

The son of the late Jeremiah and Anna McKenna, Patrick was born in Bronx, New York in the year 1941. Patrick was a 23 year Senior Investigator for the New York County District Attorney's Office and retired 20 year NYPD Detective. Patrick also proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the American Legion and was a parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. Church.

Patrick was a loving, caring, compassionate man who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Ana McKenna, at home; his son Patrick McKenna of Belleville, New Jersey and his step-son Angel Cartagena of Voorhees, New Jersey. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Diana McKenna and his step-grandson Angel Cartagena, Jr., his siblings, brother Jeremiah McKenna and sisters Eileen Phillips and Nora Briel as well as his nieces and nephews Jackie, Patricia, Michael, Joseph, Noreen, Kathleen and Tommy.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 during the hours of 2 to 4 PM & 6 to 8 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 10 AM at Sacred Heart R.C. Church located at 26 Still Road, Monroe, New York 10950.

Cremation took place subsequent to the services.  The ashes were inured, transported to the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell,  Florida for interment.  A ceremony attended by many relatives and friends was held on December 12, 2014 at Bushnell and the urn was placed in a Columbarium.


The family entrusted Thomas F. Flynn and the staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc. located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950 with the care and supervision of the Funeral Services.  See the following link to the Funeral Home and view their DVD.
